TOWER CITY, PA – The 60th NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals Presented by Casey’s at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Iowa are just around the corner and the Zemco Team is prepared for an epic three days of Racing History in the making. As the competition nears, Logan Wagner focuses and hones in on his strategy for this spectacular event. This is Logan’s first time around in the Zemco #1 at the track and he couldn’t be any more excited to race with a team ready and a car built to win.

Owners John and PeeWee Zemaitis are very familiar with and in good spirits about making the trek to Knoxville for some of the best racing taking place in the entire World. Crew Chief Tommy Carl is no stranger to the infamous track, spending many years building cars for Zemco to head West with the Championship on the line. Tommy has one strong statement as the team embarks on this year’s Journey to the Nationals – “We are ready.”

John revisits Knoxville with a rather special attachment, he gets to see not only one #1 but two #1 cars of his. The World’s Fastest Sprint Car driven by Billy Pauch is now located at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum at Knoxville Raceway. Billy Pauch competed in the Nationals A-Main in 1993-94 in the Zemco Car. In later years the team returned with Jeff Shepard winning the Preliminary Event in 2007, as well as Stevie Smith starting on the pole and finishing on the podium in third in the 2008 Finals. John and Tommy are both ready to head back and see their car with a new driver piloting it after so many years.

Logan heads to Knoxville this year with past experience on the track in his Father’s 410 car, the Mike Wagner #55. As he approaches the event, he reflects on his memory of the track while also gearing up for a new experience in the Zemco #1, saying “I really look forward to the opportunity to get to drive such a historic car at such a historic track.” He has a plan to arrive in Knoxville and be fast from the very start, citing “We are going to get out there and we need to unload fast. We need to be fast from the time we drop the gate, that’s our main focus. If we can do that and pick off a quick lap, the whole week will be set.”

Zemco Racing welcomes back Mac Magee Motorsports as a sponsor in 2021. A small business employing roughly 30 employees and known for their Agricultural Business and Enterprise Management, MMM has a long-standing relationship with the Wagner Family Racing career. Mac Magee will support Zemco and Logan during the Nationals and onward throughout the 2021 racing season.

Each and every sponsor is a pivotal part of making this team fast. Zemco acknowledges and thanks those who continue to power the car and team to success:
